Meet Dr. Mary Pettiette

Mary Pettiette DDSDr. Mary Pettiette’s educational background includes completion of her BS in Biology at Northeast Louisiana University, her DDS in 1984 and Certificate in Endodontics in 1986 at LSU School of Dentistry. She was in private practice in New Orleans, while continuing with the LSU School of Dentistry as Clinical Assistant Professor. In 1990 Dr. Pettiette joined the UNC School of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics where she held an appointment as Clinical Associate Professor. She was Director of the Endodontic clinic during her entire tenure at UNC. She also served as Acting Chair of the Department and Acting Graduate Program Director. She continues to be on the faculty as Adjunct Associate Professor. Dr. Pettiette joined the Pinehurst Endodontics team in June, 2004.

Dr. Mary Pettiette participates in local, state and national associations and is the immediate past president of the Tarheel Endodontic Association. She is a consultant for the ADA for post graduate dental school accreditation. She holds fellowships in the American and International Colleges of Dentists. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Dr. Pettiette recently co-authored a chapter in the premier Endodontic textbook, Pathways of the Pulp.
