Posted On: 08/24/2020 Updated November 2024: Unfortunately, I needed another root canal after cracking a molar. Once again, Dr. Corcoran and his staff were nothing but professional, compassionate, and efficient. I hope there are no more root canals in my future, but if there are, I know where to go!
August 2020: Who knew that a root canal could be virtually painless? Filling out the initial paperwork online was simple and convenient, Dr. Corcoran and his staff were so friendly and caring, and the procedure itself was extremely fast and straightforward. I'm awarding bonus points for the beautiful decor inside the office and for the lovely view of the courtyard from the procedure room. Mary Hannah E

Having a root canal can be intimidating but they not only made it painless, but somehow a relaxing experience. They are kind, attentive, and most importantly extremely good at what they do. Posted On: 06/20/2020 I really can't stand having dental work done, like most people. I have had a couple of procedures taken care of here now, and I have been thoroughly impressed. The customer service is excellent, and the care is top notch. When I or my family have anything that needs to be taken care of this will be the place we go, and I will have no apprehension about it. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful, and the doctor is professional, personable, courteous, gentle, and best of all, quick. I can't say enough about how great this practice is. After my first root canal, I had told the office that I would drive whatever distance needed to come back here. Well it turns out, not long after, I needed another root canal. Heather P Google Review Posted On: 01/23/2020 A visit this week to Pinehurst Endodontics left me wishing that Jim would become a general practice doctor. From the moment you step into the office, you know you made the right choice. The lobby is beautifully appointed and clean, the receptionist Trinity is bright and cheerful, and the office is meticulously clean. After a quick check-in process, you are moved back to the procedure room. Outside the wall sized window, you peer on a wooded area with a bird (and squirrel) feeder. On the wall above the window is a huge monitor showing x-rays of your teeth, and Jim walks you through what needs to be done. The procedure was quick and absolutely painless.
I left almost hoping that someday I might need another root canal. :-)

Posted On: 09/03/2019 If you need a root canal, I highly recommend Dr. Corcoran. From the time I entered the comfortable waiting area as an emergency patient I was treated with the utmost care and respect. The procedure was explained to me and it was a pain free event. Dr. Corcoran and Ashley were like a wonderful tag team as they quickly performed the operation and sent me on my way. Yes, there was some trauma pain after the novocaine wore off but with a bit of acetaminophen it was all gone in a couple of days. Jan P

Alan I Google Review Posted On: 05/16/2019 After developing a terrible toothache in a tooth that had already had a root canal and a crown, my regular dentist sent me straight to Dr. Corcoran, who had agreed to see me the same day, and would work me in. I was amazed to be taken almost immediately, and to be treated as a valued patient; not merely an accommodation. I found Dr Corcoran and his entire staff to be personable, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Corcoran ended up drilling through the crown, re-doing the root canal, and treating an abscess. I had been told that since I was being worked in, it might take a while, and to take a book or tablet with me, but that turned it not to be the case. I was finished and on my way home in less than 2 hours, and while it was unavoidably sensitive for the next few days, the agonizing pain caused by the abscess was gone. Posted On: 05/09/2019 Over the top experience, where do I begin, HUMBLE, Jim Corcoran walked into our room and introduced himself as 'Jim Corcoran' with a warm smile and firm handshake. He's clearly a highly esteemed and successful Dr but has zero arrogance about him, just unbelievable given his talent and success. SKILL, over the top, my husband asked me to go back with him for his appointment because he has what he calls 'white coat syndrome'. He immediately put Dee at ease with his congenial personality, empathy, and assurance 'he's got this'. He shared his own personal stories to relate to my husband's fears and I'm telling you I've never in my life met a Dr so humble, personal, open and honest as Jim. (and like so many others I've cared for aging parents, and we have three kids, I've seen a lot of Drs in my life) If you have any hesitation , know that you are in good hands. I would travel states to have him do my surgery if I needed it. (and his assistant Amanda, VERY personable and friendly too) btw, the picture below is the view from the patient's chair; great landscaping; calming, therapeutic, and serene, silly but watching the birds going in and out of the birdhouses distracts the mind from the surgery at hand! Posted On: 04/27/2019 I had a root cannel on April 24, 2019. From the time I walked into the office until I left I felt like I was their only patient. They are so nice and professional. They talked to me and explained what I needed to do after my procedure. Dr. Corcoran introduced himself. I appreciated him explaining what happened with my tooth that caused me to need a root cannel. He was so gentle that except a very little pinch the numbing shots didn't hurt. It may sound strange but I was impressed by his concentration and speed that himself and his assistant worked. Even checking out was a nice experience. I can't say enough how nice they were where. If I ever need anything else done (hopefully not) but I would definitely go to Dr. Corcoran. Posted On: 01/09/2019 I came to Pinehurst Endodontics with what you would call an emergency. I was referred by my dentist and was in pain. I had already been to an appointment that day and I have three young kids who were in childcare. They were so quick and helpful knowing I had tight time constraints. We are military and Dr. Cocoran is a veteran which is awesome. He completely took care of me. My tooth is fixed and I am no longer in pain, five stars all the way. The office is beautiful and remarkably clean and the staff works extremely well together. I hated getting a root canal but this was the spa experience of root canals. No pain whatsoever during the less than 1.5 hour procedure. He's like the Mavrick of endodontists. Don't go anywhere else. I was extremely surprised by my experience at Pinehurst Endodontics! The staff was friendly and immediately put my nerves at ease. I was pleasantly surprised to find toothbrushes in the bathroom! Small touches like that are nice. My root canal was painless and I was comfortable. Going to the dentist is a little nerve wracking for myself as it is for many. I was honestly expecting the worst. I can tell you that it was easier for me than any dental procedure I've ever had done. At the end I asked if he could do all my work from now on because it was so easy and pain free!
