Alan I Google Review Posted On: 05/16/2019 After developing a terrible toothache in a tooth that had already had a root canal and a crown, my regular dentist sent me straight to Dr. Corcoran, who had agreed to see me the same day, and would work me in. I was amazed to be taken almost immediately, and to be treated as a valued patient; not merely an accommodation. I found Dr Corcoran and his entire staff to be personable, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Corcoran ended up drilling through the crown, re-doing the root canal, and treating an abscess. I had been told that since I was being worked in, it might take a while, and to take a book or tablet with me, but that turned it not to be the case. I was finished and on my way home in less than 2 hours, and while it was unavoidably sensitive for the next few days, the agonizing pain caused by the abscess was gone. Posted On: 05/09/2019 Over the top experience, where do I begin, HUMBLE, Jim Corcoran walked into our room and introduced himself as 'Jim Corcoran' with a warm smile and firm handshake. He's clearly a highly esteemed and successful Dr but has zero arrogance about him, just unbelievable given his talent and success. SKILL, over the top, my husband asked me to go back with him for his appointment because he has what he calls 'white coat syndrome'. He immediately put Dee at ease with his congenial personality, empathy, and assurance 'he's got this'. He shared his own personal stories to relate to my husband's fears and I'm telling you I've never in my life met a Dr so humble, personal, open and honest as Jim. (and like so many others I've cared for aging parents, and we have three kids, I've seen a lot of Drs in my life) If you have any hesitation , know that you are in good hands. I would travel states to have him do my surgery if I needed it. (and his assistant Amanda, VERY personable and friendly too) btw, the picture below is the view from the patient's chair; great landscaping; calming, therapeutic, and serene, silly but watching the birds going in and out of the birdhouses distracts the mind from the surgery at hand! Posted On: 04/27/2019 I had a root cannel on April 24, 2019. From the time I walked into the office until I left I felt like I was their only patient. They are so nice and professional. They talked to me and explained what I needed to do after my procedure. Dr. Corcoran introduced himself. I appreciated him explaining what happened with my tooth that caused me to need a root cannel. He was so gentle that except a very little pinch the numbing shots didn't hurt. It may sound strange but I was impressed by his concentration and speed that himself and his assistant worked. Even checking out was a nice experience. I can't say enough how nice they were where. If I ever need anything else done (hopefully not) but I would definitely go to Dr. Corcoran. Posted On: 01/09/2019 I came to Pinehurst Endodontics with what you would call an emergency. I was referred by my dentist and was in pain. I had already been to an appointment that day and I have three young kids who were in childcare. They were so quick and helpful knowing I had tight time constraints. We are military and Dr. Cocoran is a veteran which is awesome. He completely took care of me. My tooth is fixed and I am no longer in pain, five stars all the way. The office is beautiful and remarkably clean and the staff works extremely well together. I hated getting a root canal but this was the spa experience of root canals. No pain whatsoever during the less than 1.5 hour procedure. He's like the Mavrick of endodontists. Don't go anywhere else. Visit Dr. Cochran if you are in pain and want kind folks to caringly walk you through the experience. Great aftercare as well. Very prompt. Thank you all! The staff is professional and explained the procedure before it started. Only 2 injections for numbing vs. 4 at my DDS. I had no pain at all. They took images before, during and after the procedure to check their work. The whole thing took 1 hour vs. 2 hours at general DDS. I still have one more scheduled in a month. I can't say enough about how great this team is from check-in, to the procedure and to check out . Dr. Corcoran is the best. The patient is treated so well, could not ask for better. They care so much about your comfort and any anxiety that the patient might be feeling. There is no pain or discomfort. Posted On: 08/07/2017 I had a root canal completed by Dr. Corcoran last week. When people hear the words 'root canal,” they think of pain and suffering. Dr. Corcoran has performed two root canals for me now and both were extremely pleasant experiences! He and his staff do an excellent job of making sure the patient is comfortable and knows what to expect. I highly recommend Dr. Corcoran and his professional staff! Patricia Willliams B
Posted On: 08/04/2017 I was taken into the office promptly, Karen was the very kind and compassionate lady who assisted Dr. Corcoran with my procedure. Both she and the doctor explained step by step what they were doing and why. There was no pain associated with the procedure. It was done in a minimum amount of time. The doctor had a pre dental school student with him and I enjoyed listening to him explaining the procedure to her, as well as giving her some helpful tips regarding her schooling, ie. taking business classes. If I were a student, I would love to shadow him.
My only complaint was, that there are no earphones with music available when the dreaded drill is used. This is not a new complaint as I hate the sound of the drill.
